Average Monthly Lawn Care Cost

Posted on September 2, 2021

Average Monthly Lawn Care Cost – It doesn’t matter if you’re a home owner or just someone who loves the outdoors, having an average monthly lawn care cost is a good thing. Since you are already paying on your house, why not take advantage of what’s being offered here and get your lawn maintained? There are many ways that you can save money with landscaping design and lawn care. Here are some examples:

o Cutting Your Mowing Time – Cutting down on your mowing time is one way that you can save some money. There are several things that you need to know such as the average time that you should mow your yard in order to achieve optimal results for your landscaping design. So you can create a schedule based on your yard’s requirements.

o Cutting Your Mowing Equipment – If you have a riding mower, odds are that you’ve used up most of its operating life. If you want to save more, you can consider renting it or swapping it out for a more efficient piece of equipment. For example, instead of cutting your mowing time by using gas-powered equipment, try an electric mower. Also, keep in mind that most landscaping companies charge per thousand hours of usage or service so don’t forget to include that into your average cost calculation.

o Cutting Your Man Hour Use – Sometimes you can shave hundreds of dollars with simple adjustments. For example, instead of mowing at a faster speed than needed, you can adjust the height of your blade. This simple adjustment will make all the difference when it comes to cutting time. Another thing that you can do is calculate how much lawn care and landscaping services you need to perform during each of your weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly visits. If you have a large lawn or landscaping project coming up, you’ll be able to estimate how much time you’ll need based on the size of the lawn or project. If you’re not sure about these calculations, simply ask for a professional quote so you can compare costs and service options.

o Insurance Rates – Even if you own your own landscaping business, you should also consider shopping around for insurance rates. Depending on what kind of landscaping company you operate your insurance rates can vary greatly. Be sure to get quotes from different insurance companies to see who’s going to give you the most affordable rates. If you don’t own a landscaping business but you do know a lot about landscaping, you can get a recommendation for a provider through your local landscaping association. Another place to find great rates is online, but be sure to check out your local insurance agencies before you purchase to make sure they’ll cover you if something were to happen at your home while you were working on a job.

o Man Hour Cost – The typical lawn care technician is most productive between 10 AM and 2 PM. This is also when most homeowners are going to be done with their lawn care. This means you may need to work a little longer if you live in an area where it’s cold enough to keep working outside all night. You can typically expect to pay about fifteen dollars an hour for a man hour. This includes time working on aerating, trimming, weeding, planting, and more.

o Weekly Rate – For many people, the price of a single visit to the lawn care specialist is worth the cost of one visit every week. Many people use their weekly lawn mowing services to help them stay on top of the fertilizer and seeding needs of their lawns. If you use weekly services, you will likely pay about two to three times as much as a person who uses a single service per week.

o Weekly Hours – Most professional lawn mowers come with a three-hour meter. If you have a lot of area to work with, this is great. If you only have a few trees to cut or a medium size yard, you will probably have better by choosing a different option. Some Lawn Mowing Specialists charge by the hour or by the job. Be sure to get an estimate for any job before you commit. There are many companies that offer estimates for a single person per hour, but this will not include additional services like seeding, aerating, and more.
